Unauthorized Creation of Social Media Pages
Using Fatima College Logo Brand or Name

  1. Purpose
    The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines regarding the creation and use of social media pages that utilize the Fatima College logo or brand without proper authorization. It aims to ensure that there is only one official social media presence for Fatima College, thus maintaining consistency and reliability in providing official information to our stakeholders.

  2. Official Social Media Channels and Website
    Fatima College has designated specific social media channels and a website as the official sources of information about the college. These channels include:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • LinkedIn

  • YouTube

  • Website

These channels and the website are the sole authorized platforms for sharing official news, updates, events, and other relevant information related to Fatima College.
 

  1. Unauthorized Creation of Social Media Pages
    Any creation or operation of social media pages, accounts, or profiles that use the Fatima College logo or brand, without proper authorization, is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, Facebook pages, Instagram accounts, Twitter profiles, and any other social media platforms.

  2. Consequences of Unauthorized Creation
    Individuals or groups found to be in violation of this policy by creating or operating unauthorized social media pages using the Fatima College logo or brand may face the following consequences:

a. Initial Warning: Upon identification of an unauthorized page, the responsible individual or group will be issued a formal warning, notifying them of the violation and the requirement to cease and remove the page immediately.

b. Cease and Desist Notice: If the warning is not heeded, Fatima College reserves the right to send a formal cease and desist notice, instructing the responsible party to immediately cease the unauthorized use of the logo or brand and remove the social media page.

c. Legal Action: In extreme cases or instances of repeated violations, Fatima College may pursue legal action to protect its logo, brand, and intellectual property rights.

  1. Reporting Unauthorized Pages
    Members of the Fatima College community are encouraged to report any unauthorized social media pages that use the Fatima College logo or brand to the official administration or communication channels of the college. Reports should include relevant details, such as the name of the unauthorized page and the platform on which it is hosted.

  2. Communication and Awareness
    Fatima College will take steps to communicate and raise awareness about the existence of official social media channels and the authorized website. This includes periodic reminders to the college community, such as students, parents, staff, and alumni, emphasizing the importance of relying solely on the designated official channels for accurate and up-to-date information.

  3. Policy Enforcement
    The enforcement of this policy lies with the administration of Fatima College. The college reserves the right to take appropriate action against individuals or groups found to be in violation of this policy, in accordance with the outlined consequences.

  4. Policy Review
    This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as needed to ensure its effectiveness and relevance in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
